“The skyrocketing young star is an enchanting singer, a poised and polished acoustic bassist, and an accomplished composer.” (The Boston Globe)

Thiroux’s unique gift of simultaneously balancing sultry vocals and virtuosic bass playing leaves audiences worldwide in awe. Awarded “Best Album of 2017” by Downbeat Magazine. Katie carries on the hard swinging tradition of such bass masters as Ray Brown and John Clayton, while channelling the buoyant vocal finesse of iconic singers including Anita O’Day, Chet Baker and Ella Fitzgerald. Based in New York City and Los Angeles, triple threat talent KATIE THIROUZ has garnered international attention for her bravura bass playing, assured singing and compelling compositions. Her most recent album, “Off Beat”, from Grammy nominated label, Capri Records, collected rave reviews and was awarded a “Best Album of 2017” by Downbeat Magazine. This followed her 2015 awards for Debut Record of the Year and being a semi-finalist in the Thelonious Monk Competition.

With a long list of accolades that looks like a seasoned veteran, the 30 year old artist is full steam ahead with a busy international touring schedule and new projects in the works. Lending contemporary flair to mainstream stylings, Thiroux offers in-the-moment jazz that draws upon the rich history of the music, from swing to bebop and beyond.

One of the most in-demand pianists on the New York City jazz scene, GLENN ZALESKI has made a name for himself playing with the likes of Ravi Coltrane, Lage Lund and Ari Hoenig. His most recent recording, “Solo Vol. 1”, his first solo piano album was released in early 2018, following his debut album, “My Ideal” in 2015, that attracted critical acclaim: Downbeat Magazine named it “sublime”, Jazz Times called it, “an engaging set by a talent worth watching,” and the New York Times named the record a “strong statement,” praising its “fluent but unhurried sense of phrase”.

Glenn was a semi-finalist in the 2011 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition, as well as a finalist for the 2011 APA Cole Porter Fellowship in Jazz.

“Glenn Zaleski has quickly become one of the most important pianists of his generation and it’s easy to see why.” - All About Jazz
