About Jazz on the Wing

Established in 1994, Jazz on the Wing provides a unique northern venue for Canadian and international jazz artists. Each year, between September and April, Jazz Yukon presents shows in Whitehorse and occasionally in other Yukon communities.

About the Venue

In Whitehorse Jazz on the Wing is presented at the Yukon Arts Centre. The spacious stage has been repurposed as an intimate, cabaret-style venue with seating for 135, bar service and snacks. The audience joins the musicians on stage, providing a warm, club-like atmosphere appreciated by audience members and artists alike. Audience Comments

“This is the first Jazz on the Wing I have attended and it will not be the last... it was a great evening.”

“I love the intimacy, the quietness and focus of the evening. And the fact that I can have dessert and a glass of wine. To attend Jazz on the Wing for me is really a night out.”

“From the moment we walked in the building, we knew it was going to be a special night. We loved the intimacy with the attentive audience, sharing the stage with us; we were in one conversation together. The people (presenter, crew, and audience) were second to none! Continued success!”
